Existing Q Business customers can continue using their current service or leverage their existing Q index with Quick Suite to access new agents for research, insights, and automation.

Amazon Q Business Subscription Models

With Amazon Q Business, enterprise customers pay for user subscriptions and index capacity. Subscription pricing is scaled to meet your needs. Choose from two subscription models, Amazon Q Business Lite and Amazon Q Business Pro, to meet your needs:

• Amazon Q Business Lite: $3 per user/mo. The Amazon Q Business Lite subscription provides users access to basic functionality such as asking questions and receiving permission-aware responses.
• Amazon Q Business Pro: $20 per user/mo. The Amazon Q Business Pro subscription provides users access to the full suite of Amazon Q Business capabilities, including access to Amazon Q Apps, and Amazon Q in QuickSight (Reader Pro).

Key Capabilities by Tier

Users on the Lite plan can securely connect Amazon Q Business to business knowledge and data, receive permission-aware responses in a conversational interface, and use secure and seamless sign-on with enterprise login. The Pro plan expands these capabilities, allowing users to create new content quickly, gain data insights with Amazon Q in QuickSight, and integrate seamlessly in Slack, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Teams.

Consumption Pricing for Anonymous Use

Consumption pricing is available for anonymous use cases that do not include end user authentication. For example, customers choose to embed Amazon Q Business on their public webpage to assist anonymous page visitors with commonly asked questions like business location, hours of operation, product price points, or troubleshooting guidance. Amazon Q Business consumption price is $200 for 30,000 units/ month, with 2 units consumed per ChatSync API call or per prompt sent from the embedded chat experience.

Index Pricing and Workload Types

Amazon Q Business offers two index types for production and proof of concept (PoC) workloads. You are charged for index units per hour depending on the type of index and the number of units:

• The Starter Index: Priced at $0.140 per hour for one unit. It is deployed in a single Availability Zone, making it ideal for PoCs and developer workloads. One index unit includes 20,000 documents or 200 MB of extracted text.
• The Enterprise Index: Priced at $0.264 per hour for one unit. It is deployed across three Availability Zones, making it best for production workloads.

You can increase or decrease the number of index units based on the number of documents you want to index. Note that once an index is created you will incur charges for it regardless of whether you have utilized any document capacity within that index. You can delete the index to stop the charges.
